Creativity and Meditations

On Pause from Writing
(but not from Creativity & Meditation)

95 / 5

Awhile ago, I made a conscious decision to take a sabbatical from writing. And now I have a great opportunity to re-train the muscle of doing a weekly writing meditation. As an alternative, it would be super easy to give up on writing entirely, since the chain was already broken. We all re-evaluate priorities on a daily basis, so it’s perfectly normal to re-asses. Return to auto-pilot always feels easier.

WHO DRIVES AND WHO NAVIGATES?

Repeating choices that grow into habits (good or bad) is what creates our programming/ subconscious. With the choices we make we influence our subconscious and in return, it drives 95% of our existence. That said, using up the 5% remaining (conscious) moments to slowly re-program the subconscious by repetition of a good habit might be a pretty good investment. Good habits are seeds, so that our subconscious and conscious-self can bear fruit.

If I really want to improve my situation,
I can work on the one thing over which I have control - myself.
