Creativity and Meditations

On Pause from Writing
(but not from Creativity & Meditation)

Something to hold on to

Life can seem pretty hard to plow through sometimes, right? When we stumble upon outside obstacles and look at them long enough, humps transform into mountains, or even into monsters that we want to defeat. In those intense moments, like a knight defending its castle, we hold on to our ideas and beliefs for dear life. When a crisis is over, we usually realize that a lot of our battles and frustration could be avoided. If we attack, we resist change and prevent growth.

By caring about everything that upsets us,
we end up caring about one thing – ourselves.

Learning how not to take every urge, thought and internal story as »true« stimulates growth. But no matter the tools we use as a way to consciously grow, we’re not robots. The world cannot »fix« us. And neither can the world »fix« itself according to our views. Only we, ourselves, can learn to spot the situations where we »glitch« and improve. Learning to accept change can be something useful to hold on to.

More often than not,
the mountains we should be moving are the ones within.
